Reporters learned from Chengdu International Railway Port on May 21 that at 11:30 Dutch local time, the launching ceremony of the China-Europe Banlie (Tilburg-Chengdu) and the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation on transatlantic sea transport were held at Brabant Yard Station in Tilburg, the Netherlands. A train full of wine, beer, milk powder, mineral water, auto parts, automobile and other goods from the Netherlands, France, Spain and other places (Chengdu) will leave Brabant Station in Tilburg, the Netherlands and enter through the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries. It arrived at Chengdu International Railway Port 15 days later.

 

At this departure ceremony, Rotterdam Port of the Netherlands formally joined the Central European Banlie (Chengdu-Tilburg) line. This means that the multi-modal transport system of "Chengdu-Europe Hub" is more perfect, and it also brings a new solution to the logistics transportation between China and the Netherlands and even between China and Europe.

 

With the help of the radiation advantages of Rotterdam Port and the "Rotterdam Europe Hub" sea-rail intermodal transport mechanism, Rotterdam Port of the Netherlands joined in, opening up a new logistics transportation channel with higher efficiency, convenience and low cost for the Nordic and eastern coastal areas of America to connect the inland areas of central and Western China.

 

As early as 2016, the Chengdu-Tilburg line was launched, covering a total distance of 10858 kilometers, with a running time of about 15 days. Now it has formed a stable operation pattern, with 6 roundtrips per week. The goods from Chengdu to Tilburg are mainly electronic equipment and aviation products, while the return goods are mainly automotive parts, milk powder and the whole vehicle. By the end of April 2019, the total value of import and export of the line reached 6.38 billion US dollars. This class is listed as the 750th column after the opening of the Tilburg Line between China and Europe (Chengdu).

 

It is reported that on that day, Chengdu International Railway Port Investment Development (Group) Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Transatlantic Maritime Transport and Intermodal Transport Cooperation between China and Europe (Chengdu) with GVT Logistics Group and Rotterdam Port Authority of the Netherlands. The determination of this strategic cooperation relationship means that the three parties will give full play to their respective advantages in international logistics, financial security and international trade, and comprehensively promote in-depth cooperation among the parties in various integrated project sectors such as shift transportation system, multimodal transport product scheme, testing and consultation.
